Protein Banana Bread Recipe

I love pastries, and who doesn’t? My personal favourite pastry would be banana bread, especially if it’s fresh out of the oven. If you love banana bread as much as I do, and you’re looking for some good food to help you build muscle, then you’ll be happy to know that you can make your own protein banana bread at home.

Ingredients:

  • 2 bowls (one for wet ingredients, one for dry ingredients)
  • 90gs Oat flour (if you don’t have any, you can make your own by blending 1 ¼ cup rolled oats) (dry)
  • ½ cup of sweetener (dry)
  • 3 scoops of vanilla or banana protein powder (dry)
  • ½ teaspoon of baking soda (dry)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder (dry)
  • 3 teaspoons of ground cinnamon (dry)
  • (optional) 2 ounces of nuts (dry)
  • 2 large egg whites (wet)
  • ¼ cup of vanilla unsweetened almond milk (wet)
  • 3 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract (wet)
  • 3 medium bananas (wet)
  • ½ cup of unsweetened applesauce (wet)

Steps:

  1. Add the ingredients in their respective bowls (wet and dry)
  2. Slowly mix together your wet ingredients, adding in the dry ingredients as you go
  3. Put the resulting mix in a bread dish, after coating the dish in non-stick cooking spray
  4. If you want to add some more nuts or chocolate chips to the mix before placing it in the oven, you can do that
  5. Preheat the oven to 350, and put the mix in for about 35-40 minutes
  6. After removing the mix from the oven, leave it out to cool for 20 minutes
